Somethings are better not from home...

Watching an award show live, in person seems like a great opportunity. But I'd like to suggest that you hold on to your money and stay home.

Award shows are made for TV events, and you miss the finer details if you attend. Those attending the ACM Awards on Sunday were too far away to see Sara Evans tearing up after being welcomed home by friends and colleagues. They had no idea how much singing with Darius Rucker meant to those children with special needs. And they no doubt lost track of Dierks Bentley as he scurried into the nosebleed section.

The whole thing is sort of like touring a pickle factory. Hearing how it's done from the comfort of your own sofa is a much more pleasant alternative.
