How to score Meet and Greet passes...

Take notes. This is a lesson in convincing your favorite radio station you're backstage worthy.

Start Early: You'll need a story. Something that tugs at the heartstrings. Military deployments are always effective. The bigger the concert the earlier you need to EMAIL the DJ. It's way too late for Taylor Swift meet and greets.

Go local: Don't try contacting a station in Scranton, PA for meet and greets for a show in their market. You're not their listener, so you're not a priority.

Spellcheck: Nothing is more embarrassing than heading backstage with a winner who's heavily intoxicated, rude, and short on manners. The use of proper grammar and spelling in an initial email says you've got a little polish.

Be polite, not pushy: As the show gets closer, it's not a bad idea to say "Hey remember me?!" Weekly emails aren't effective.

It's a 50/50 proposition: Sometimes we just don't have them. Passes are always very limited, and often get scooped up early. I can get you meet and greets for a new act all day long, but no one wants to meet Trailer Choir. They want to meet Toby. The laws of supply and demand are in effect.
